There's bucketloads of different enemies who have so many different ways of messing up your day. There are literally so many classes, spells, etc. If you love minmaxing or tinkering with cool rpg builds and such you will be in heaven. But Baldur's Gate 1 had all these too (and is great not as good as 2 though), and the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. So yeah there's issues with bugs and balancing and pacing. If you're going to play this game do remember: It's the devs first game and it's massive. But it's really worth it! However it does a poor job of explaining many of the systems if you don't already know pathfinder/D&D 3.5e rules, so I'd actually recommend the "sequel" (Path of the Righteous) instead which is more newbie friendly in that regard.ĭo you not like RPGs? Then this isn't the one that will convince you. It's a long game and there's a lot of systems to learn. Should you play this game?
